Revive Psychotherapy is a private practice operated under Sara Khalaf RP(Qualifying). Sara pursued an education in Neuroscience to understand the beauty and complexity that lies underneath the human brain. Sara obtained a Masters of Science with a concentration in Neuroscience and completed research to better understand the effects of chronic unpredictable stress on the brain as well as its effects on the microbiome. After this, Sara obtained a Masters degree in Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Spirituality at Saint Paul University/University of Ottawa. Within this degree, Sara concentrated on individual, couple and family therapy and completed a research aimed at understanding the relevant factors of having a sibling with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as the proactive approaches that families and individuals can partake in.
Sara also continuously seeks supervision and consultation, as well as ongoing professional development training in order to offer the best serves to clients.
Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
Our therapeutic approach is an integrative therapeutic modality where the treatment plan is catered to each client in order to best serve the client's need and interest. Main therapeutic modalities include Transactional Analysis Model, Object Relations, Narrative Therapy, EFT, PACT, Mindful therapy.
Sara provides warm and compassionate support to her clients and considers herself to be a trauma-informed psychotherapist where she integrates that within the scope of her practice. Sara also takes into consideration and respects all cultures, races, religions, spiritual beliefs, sexual identity, and health concerns with providing autonomy and authentic identity that helps the clients guide the sessions in a way that feels safe for them.
